ISOVOLTA SA
1948 - The factories ELECTROCABLU and ELECTROTUB were established in Bucharest.
1949 - ELECTROCABLU and ELECTROTUB merged into ELECTROCABLU Factory Bucharest.
1950 - Was established the factory ELECTROIZOLANTUL Bucharest.
1959 - ELECTROCABLU and ELECTROIZOLANTUL merged into FCME Bucharest (the Factory for Cables and Electroinsulating Materials).
1973 - FCME was renamed as ICME Bucharest (the Enterprise for Cables and Electroinsulating Materials).
1991 - ICME was organised as stock joint company - SC ICME SA Bucharest.
1998 - SC ICME SA Bucharest was fully privatised by Bucharest Stock Market, by selling the shares owned by the State Property Fund. The biggest share-holder became the Austrian company ISOVOLTA AG.
1999 - In April, SC ICME SA was divided into two separate companies: SC ICME ECAB SA and SC ICME Electroizolante SA.
2002 - In March, SC ICME Electroizolante SA was renamed as SC ISOVOLTA SA.
Now SC ISOVOLTA SA is a Romanian-Austrian private company, in which the main share-holder is ISOVOLTA AG Austria.

ISOVOLTA SA has 4 manufacturing departments:
- ENAMELLED WIRES - produces special wires (rectangular and round) for the windings of electrical equipment.
- ENAMELLES AND RESINS - produces enamelling, impregnating and covering resins, binders for wood industry and electrical insulating compounds.
- MICA AND FLEXIBLE INSULATIONS - produces flexible insulation materials and mica products (sheets, tapes, tubes, rods, cones).
- RIGID LAMINATES - produces rigid laminates (sheets, rods, tubes) based on paper, cotton and glass cloth.
